The Paroli Betting System
The Paroli betting system is quite popular amongst roulette players and there is a reason for that – it’s really rudimentary and easy to use. This progressive betting system which is completely opposite of the Martingale serves two main purposes – to help you win small bets consistently and stay out of significant losses.
If you are not familiar with positive progression betting yet, it’s a system that requires increasing your stakes after a win. It’s not guaranteed that you will come out of a game with a profit, but the simplicity of this method makes it attractive to a lot of players around the globe.
How to Use the Paroli Betting System
Since it is a positive progression betting system, it can be applied to all casino games that feature even-money wagers. However, it is mostly used on roulette betting. Here is how it goes:
- You have to have a fixed base stake. It determines how much you stake at the start of each cycle. Usually, it should be around 2 and 5 percent of your bankroll.
- Double the stake after winning. It’s pretty straightforward – every time you win, you need to bet twice as more. So if you win a $2 bet, your next one should be $4.
- Stop doubling after three wins. After you win three times in a row, doubling the stake should be over and you should go back to your original stake. If you are wondering why this rule exists, it is based on statistics and the theory of probabilities – it’s unlikely to win more than 3 times in a row.
- Stop after a loss. If you lose your bet, the next bet should be your base stake. And it’s irrelevant how many times you lose in a row – the next bet after losing is always your base stake.
That’s it. Just those 4 rules can turn out to be an effective method to defeat the casino.
